We’re really happy to release a new exciting feature available in your Issue Stand Editor. It just got even more powerful: you can now edit your Table of Contents without additional software or a need to leave Issue Stand!

As you can see on the animated gif above, it’s really simple. You can add new pages, delete others and rearrange the tree. Then just hit “Update PDF” button and all the results will be ready in your app.

Moreover, if you already prepared a Table of Contents for your PDF in other software, we will not remove it from the PDF file. It’ll be available in TOC editor so you can improve it or fix an error without a need to upload PDF again.

We really hope this will make your life even more easier :)

We’re really happy to finally release something that we’ve worked so hard on the past few weeks. We have gathered everything we learned about increasing magazine sales during the process of building our company, developing tools and launching your applications together with you.

11 Ways to Increase Magazine Sales is our first free e-book and our main goal is to help you sell more.

    Download this e-book

Our mission here at Issue Stand is to make it insanely easy for publishers to go mobile and have their magazines available on tablets, both iPads and Androids. But being available and present, not necessarily means being profitable and earning more. Tablet market is a huge deal, but App Store revenues are another thing.

Do you know, that 5% of all application publishers earn 95% of revenue from the whole App Store sales? Numbers are not in your favor and we are aware of that.

This is the reason why we’ve decided to not only help publishers take their first steps with digital publishing, but also to help them be profitable, earn more and increase their sales revenue.

This ebook is just a first step. We’re gathering all our experience, lessons and experiments in one place to help you start earn more. But that’s just a tip of the iceberg. We’re working on something much bigger and more important.

Recently, there is a big discussion about Apple Newsstand in the whole digital publishing industry. Giving our experience, we wouldn’t be ourselves without being a part of this.

It all started back in 2012, when John Gruber wrote a blogpost saying that for him, Newsstand is the place where apps go to be forgotten. But it was the time when iOS 6 was still the biggest king in the town. With iOS 7 and updates for developers API, things seem to take turn for worse. Some publishers started to slowly abandon Newsstand, others teach people how to hide Newsstand and some even tried to redesign Newsstand on their own.

Our mission here at Issue Stand is to make it insanely easy for people to publish their magazines on tablets. We want to take a load off publisher’s minds, to help and assist them with every step until the final release of their application and beyond. We commit ourselves to making the publisher’s life easier, to save both money and time.

Recently we’ve noticed the raising number of companies doing tablet and smartphone publishing and at the same time, the raising number of questions: “Which solution to choose?”, “What’s the difference between X and Y?” or “How are you better than X?”. That’s a good sign because the every competitor push us even further to satisfy our customers and that’s good for everyone in our industry.

    1. Sell subscriptions

Recently on this blog we explained a difference between print and digital subscription. Basing on our experiences, subscriptions can be a big part of revenue stream. They’re also auto-renewable — it means that your readers stay with you for a longer period of time because it’s easy and fast. They don’t have to order a new issue every month and confirm in-app purchases. New issue simply appears on their iPad with no additional actions required.
