  2. New widget: Use Youtube player directly in your magazine

    Video Player is one of the most popular widget in Issue Stand. However, some of our clients have problems with the weight of video files. Some files  are just too big to add to the mobile magazine and the process of downloading the file and uploading it again to Issue Stand is too long.

    To solve this problem we’ve decided to introduce a brand new feature: YouTube widget. Now publishers are able to add a YouTube movie directly into their magazine, without saving it to their hard drive first.

    Recently, there is a big discussion about Apple Newsstand in the whole digital publishing industry. Giving our experience, we wouldn’t be ourselves without being a part of this.

    It all started back in 2012, when John Gruber wrote a blogpost saying that for him, Newsstand is the place where apps go to be forgotten.
